Day at Skansen

Come and join me for a day at one of my favorite places in
Stockholm - Skansen, the Outdoor Museum and Zoo. If you love
flowers, old buildings and guides dressed in dated clothing,
history, animals, you will enjoy this place. For fellow New
York Staters, it reminds me of Museum Village.....
Since some exhibits are open only til 12 noon, we will meet
at the main entrance gate at 10AM - wear comfortable shoes,
and appropriate clothing. Be prepared to buy some goodies
at the bakery! We can also stop at my favorite place for lunch
- the Cafe Petissan, for Skansen's own delicious blended tea,
or coffee, with cake or a sandwich.
Plan on at least a three hour visit, as there are many historical
buildings to see. For more information, just look up their

Hope
to meet you there! Entrance fee is 65 kr, but you can purchase
a year-round card for 500 kr., unless the cost went up from
last year..... If we are a group of ten or more, the cost
will be 50 kr. per person.
