The American Women's Club of Stockholm (hereafter referred to as AWC) sponsors a variety of annual fundraising events. Additional funds may be available for distribution to charitable organizations and/or to respond to specific philanthropic requests. This document outlines the AWC policy regarding the selection of recipients and methods of disbursal of available funds for charitable and philanthropic purposes.

Recognizing that many organizations and individuals will approach AWC for charitable contributions each year, and that our members may also have personal interests in these and other worthwhile causes, it is imperative that any funds disbursed by AWC be done in a fair and open-minded manner. A Philanthropic Committee (hereafter referred to as PC) has been established for the purpose of evaluating proposals for philanthropic projects, to oversee and make recommendations regarding the distribution of funds for philanthropic purposes, and to coordinate the fundraising activities for the club.
