An Evening Reception with the American Ambassador to Sweden, and a Special introduction of the 2005 AWC Scholarship Recipients

The American Women's Club of Stockholm Scholarship Committee is proud to announce that we have selected two outstanding recipients for the 2005-2006 AWC Scholarship.

We enjoyed meeting and welcoming these ladies to Sweden at the 2005-2006 Scholarship Winners Reception at the U.S. Ambassador's Residence on Thursday, October 20th 2005.

Jennifer H.
Jennifer is 18, and she will be a rising senior at the Kentucky School for the Deaf. Jennifer will be the youngest recipient of the AWC Scholarship, since it came into existence, 14 years ago. She will be attending the Manillaskolan School for the Deaf and hopes to attend Gaulladet University in Washington D.C., after completing her studies in Sweden.
Kym M.
Kym, 46, is mother of three who has recently returned to pursue her academic aspirations at Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. She is a sociology and anthropology major and is looking forward to experiencing Swedish culture & society. Kym hopes to complete her education at the doctoral level in Sociology, focusing on International Relations and Political Sociology.
