Membership Benefits
Members get access to all AWC Stockholm events and our members-only Facebook group. The most common reasons that women join the AWC are to make friends, join group outings, and make professional contacts. We are always open to new activities, so make your voice heard!
Eligibility
In order to join, you must be a woman who is a US citizen or who has significant ties to the US. Examples of significant ties include living/studying in the US or having American family members.
Dues
New members: SEK 500 (Student/retiree: SEK 350)
Annual renewal: SEK 400 (Student/retiree: SEK 250)
Members pay yearly dues to support the club’s business expenses (like our website and accounting software) and help subsidize event costs.
Students and Retirees
The AWC is pleased to offer a discounted membership to students and retirees. Students must be enrolled full-time at an accredited university or college. Retirees must be 65+ or hold valid pensioners cards from Pensionsmyndigheten.
Membership Season
Our membership season runs from September through May. If you become a member in the period between May and August, your fee applies toward the next membership season. The AWC does not pro-rate membership fees. Renewals are made each year in September. When it’s time to renew, you’ll receive an email reminder with payment instructions.
