A Day in the Archipelago – Promenade & Refreshments

A Day in the Archipelago – Promenade & Refreshments in Vaxholm May 14, 2023, 08.30 – 15.00. RSVP by May 11

On Sunday May 14th, the IWC and AWC are planning a day trip to Vaxholm. RSVP at the link below.

We are looking forward to spending a day out in the amazing Stockholm archipelago together promoting Friendship and Goodwill to All!

Explore Stockholm and its surroundings in order to know it better!

For those who are new in Stockholm – Vaxholm is a municipality spanning several islands in Sweden’s Stockholm archipelago. The 16th-century Vaxholm Fortress, built on an islet to defend Stockholm, now houses a museum chronicling the building’s history. Pastel-coloured wooden houses dot Vaxholm’s town centre. Norrhamnen, the harbour, is lined with fishing cottages.

The Island can be reached by boat or bus. Our group will take a boat that leaves at Strömkajen in front of the Grand Hotel at 9.00. On arrival at Vaxholm, we will take a walk around the town and in the nearby nature areas. Then we will go to the home of our guide, Fer Donoso, for light refreshments.

Means of transportation: Waxholmsbolaget – public transport on water to the islands in the Stockholm Baltic archipelago. Tickets are bought on board. Save the paper receipt and hand it over to the staff when you go ashore. All ferries are cashless. VISA/Mastercard are accepted on board.
