Our October 18th luncheon will be at Hermans, where Shireen Longva and (AWC member) Sara Hendey will join us to discuss their recently published cookbook, Down to Earth Cooking – Quick, Delicious and Nutritious Plant-based Recipes. Shireen and Sara will talk about the concepts of a plant-based diet and cooking, how it relates to the environment and health, and why they wrote the cookbook, answering questions along the way. Hermans is Stockholm’s original vegetarian restaurant with a fantastic view of the harbor. At lunchtime, a vegan buffet is served for 178 kr. and includes cold and warm dishes, delicious sauces and spreads; “all prepared with love and with as many organic ingredients as possible.” Of course, their famous hummus, home-baked bread, and organic coffee/tea is always included. Hermans is located at Fjällgatan 23B, just off Katarinavägen on Södermalm. The nearest bus stop (lines 2, 3, 53, 55, and 71) is at Tjärhövsplan. Bring a guest!
