Virtual Book Club, January 27th, 18.00

Come join the book club on January 27th, at 6 pm, to discuss Catherine Pettersson’s debut novel, A Daughter of the King. Bring your own favorite beverage and be prepared to discuss this engaging work of historical fiction. We hope to have the author join us to discuss plot, characters, and this very interesting period in French history, when 800 women, called “Daughters of the King,” were shipped from France to Quebec and protagonist Jeanne Denot was one of them. A Zoom link will be posted to the members’ Facebook page and circulated to members by email in mid-January. During the meeting, assuming sufficient interest, we will choose a selection for February.
