Dear Movie Fans,

Yesterday we saw ”The Devil Wears Prada 2” and surprisingly everyone in the large group gave it thumbs up. We enjoyed seeing all the celebrities, like Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace, making appearances, the clothes, Milan and the story of the sorry state of journalism these days, while being entertained.

Our next film is ”Rebuilding” and we will see it on Tuesday, June 30. It is a gentle humanist story of the American West where Dusty (Josh O’Connor) is a reserved, divorced father whose ranch has burned down in a devastating wildfire. Now living in a trailer community on a government-run campsite, Dusty finds solace with his new neighbors who have also lost everything, quietly reassembles his life, and starts reconnecting with his ex-wife Ruby (Meghann Fahy) and young daughter Callie-Rose (Lily LaTorre). Filmed against the rapturous backdrop of southern Colorado, Rebuilding is a ruminative, moving portrait of resilience and human connection in the wake of loss. It has a tomato meter score of 91% and great reviews:
